The upgraded features of the NEW KOWA TSN 66A make this one of the best hunting spotting scopes for the backpack hunter who needs to shave some weight, while still getting alpha glass performance. After having a couple weeks to test this new Kowa TSN 66A, you'd be hard pressed to convince us that it is not the best spotting scope for backcountry hunting. However, there is a cost as it is quite a bit more expensive than the Kowa TSN 773.

Our real question in getting an early look at this new Kowa TSN 66 spotting scope was how it stacked up to of favorite in the that size class, the Kowa TSN 773 spotting scope. That Kowa TSN 773 has been the best performer and tough to beat for years, but this new Kowa TSN 66 spotting scope challenges it with it's pure Fluourite Crystal glass, weight savings, and better resolution, save for sacrificing some low light performance due to the smaller objective lens.

The new Kowa TSN 66 is AMAZING, and we'll put out a full detailed review once it's stood the test of time, but our initial thoughts are that this new Kowa TSN 66 is one sweet spotting scope!
