Ripple Wins Lawsuit Against SEC!!! XRP Price Prediction, Analysis, Update | XRP Moons

On July 13, Ripple Labs achieved a significant victory in the United States District Court in the Southern District of New York. Judge Analisa Torres ruled in favor of the company in a case brought forth by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) dating back to 2020.

According to court documents filed on July 13, Judge Torres granted summary judgment in favor of Ripple Labs, determining that the XRP token is not a security. The SEC's lawsuit aimed to compel Ripple to cease offering its XRP token, arguing that it qualified as a security and required additional regulation.

The court documents state, "Defendants' motion for summary judgment is GRANTED as to the Programmatic Sales, the Other Distributions, and Larsen's and Garlinghouse's sales, and DENIED as to the Institutional Sales."

Following the news, the price of XRP experienced a rapid surge from $0.45 to $0.61 within minutes, representing a price increase of over 25% at the time of this article's publishing.

The legal battle between Ripple and the SEC began in December 2020 when the SEC filed a lawsuit against Ripple, Brad Garlinghouse (CEO of Ripple), and Chris Larsen (co-founder of Ripple) alleging that the company was offering an unregistered security.
