Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate — The Ties That Bind | Xbox Series X [#20]

So it's been a couple of months since I've played this title, but the ability to raise your bonds with your masters in _Street Fighter 6's_ "World Tour" mode reminded me that the same thing exists here between the various characters; as their bonds improve they're more likely to gift each other weapons and lottery tickets after battle, defend each other from a foe's attack, and they can even work together to perform "True Musou Attacks" to devastate the enemy armies!

Not only can bonds be raised by having characters fight alongside each other in battle, they can also be improved by successfully performing missions for them which come in a number of difficulties (however, the amount raised is the same, regardless). You can also raise bonds by spending time relaxing at the teahouse, and while this is the easiest — you can raise everyone's bonds all at once — it will only raise to the maximum of a particular segment; you'll have to fight alongside the character or successfully perform a mission to break through the "bond barrier."

Finally, defeating an officer in "Gauntlet Mode" earns you a kind of "bond stock" that can be expended to raise them ("use bonds" option). Very useful in a pinch!
