Epic Battle Fantasy 4 (PC) - Epic Mode - Part 28: Cosmic Monolith Miniboss Fight

After setting foot on Battle Mountain, we now encounter our first of the new boss fights, against the infamous Cosmic Monolith from Epic Battle Fantasy 3! There is a good reason this thing never shows up in the main game of EBF4. Dark resistance is a must if you want any hope of surviving its ultimate apocalypse attack, and it also has a new attack where it warps into the air and crushes one of your party members. Like the other monoliths it is rendered useless by Syphoning it, but on top of resisting Syphon, this monolith also has a ridiculously high Evasion stat allowing it to not only not be syphoned by your attacks but to easily avoid your attacks altogether. But inflicting Tired status on it will make its Evasion drop steadily allowing you to land hits easier. This is a two-wave battle. First you fight one, then you fight three of them at once!

After taking out the Cosmic Monolith, I use my remaining time to take on the Ashwood Forest Monster Marathon.
