#23 Rocky Jones, Space Ranger - Crash of the Moons: Chapter III

Rocky, Winky and Trinka desperately try to catch Cleolanta's ship before it can destroy Posita. Cleolanta hopes to save Opehcius by blasting Posita apart or changing its course, despite the moon still being inhabited. The Orbit Jet arrives after only two missiles have been launched at Cleolanta's command. Rocky has Winky disable Cleolanta's ship with one of their missiles. The ploy works; Atlasande binds Cleolanta and promises to shoot no more missiles. On Posita, the blasts from the first several missiles has ceilings falling and tables turning over. Bobby manages to contact Rocky to let him know that everyone is still okay despite some heavy damage to buildings. Colenda's baby son is taken by Vena Ray and Bobby to an underground shelter after she is pinned by a falling beam. Rocky lands and begins to organize the evacuation of Posita's residents to homes on Negato that Secretary Drake and Bovaro have arranged. The Orbit Jet then returns to Ophecius to stage the orderly transport of its inhabitants off-world before the collision can occur. Trinka is instrumental in quelling the panic; she assures everyone that the Orbit Jet, with her and Atlasande aboard will be the last ship to leave. Ophecians draw random tickets that specify the date they will blast off. Cleolanta refuses to go, but Atlasande grabs her at the last minute and carries her aboard the Orbit Jet. In the end, she expresses gratitude for saving her and her people. They all watch the fiery collision of moons take place from a safe distance in space.
