Ange Postecoglou faced the British media for the first time since becoming Tottenham Hotspur's new head coach on Monday, with the Australian saying he hopes to convince Harry Kane to stay at the club.

The England captain's current contract with 'Spurs' comes to an end at the conclusion of the upcoming season, and Bayern Munich have reportedly made an offer of £70-million pounds plus add‑ons for the 29-year-old.

Postecoglou plans to hold talks with Kane over his future, where the former Celtic boss will: "give him my sort of vision for the football club, to get an understanding from him what he thinks this football club needs to be successful."
