Bernard Shaw Quotes That Made Me A REAL MAN.
Irish comedic dramatist, literary critic, and socialist propagandist George Bernard Shaw (born July 26, 1856, in Dublin, Ireland—died November 2, 1950, in Ayot St. Lawrence, Hertfordshire, England) won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1925.
George Bernard Shaw is known for his contribution to the modernization of humorous drama. He was a well-known British socialist as well as a literary critic. Pygmalion, Shaw's most commercially successful piece, was transformed into the hit Broadway musical My Fair Lady.
He declared himself to be atheist while vehemently expressing his strong misgivings about religion. Shaw neither claimed to be religious nor was his devotion associated with any particular theological practices.
Shaw's optimistic idea of creative evolution serves as the foundation for his thoughts on marriage. He opposes the current practices and rules, not the institution of marriage, which have turned it into a vehicle for unrestricted and endless pleasure and away from the advancement of the species.
The major works of Shaw:
* Widowers' Houses.
* The Philanderer.
* Mrs Warren's Profession.
* Arms and the Man.
* Candida.
* You Never Can Tell.
* The Devil's Disciple.
* Caesar and Cleopatra.
