Have You Been Hurt By The Church?

The church is a community of believers who not all on the same plane with maturity. Sin and misunderstanding is bound to happen.

Healing may require you to step away permanently from a specific church community but not returning to any faith community robs that community of its most precious resource: a more refined, wiser, and experienced you.

If you have been hurt by the church, do this:
1. Go to God in prayer. Get into God’s word for your hurt.
2. Resolve your own past (Mt 7v3)
3. Confront the offender (Mt 18v15)
4. Confide in a faithful friend, don’t fall for gossip.
5. Pursue the holiness you failed to see in others.
6. Trust that love will prevail. Love covers sins 1 Pet 4v8; Love will abide 1 Cor 13:13
7. Forgive and remember (Mt 6v15)
