Dead Things for the Fire. Yet... (Isaiah 27:9b-13)

Happy 4th of July!! Happy Independence Day! Today we stand tall as a nation and bow to The Only ONE worthy of being called KING.

Sort of threw the last of 9 in there at the end; this literature really is meant for a life time of reading and rereading to really get into. As Keener put it, "If you get out of the Bible what you're expecting, change your expectations." If you want a series of catchy one-liners that can be used to justify anything, you'll find it, and you'll also be missing the (dang near whole) point, betraying the culture and people who wrote it, and inserting one's own bias and culture in place of another peoples. (The irony is so rich it just has to be fattening.)
