Mauricio Pochettino met with the media on Tuesday, a day ahead of Chelsea's final U.S. preseason fixture - a match against Borussia Dortmund at Soldier Field in Chicago.

Dortmund ended Manchester United's American tour on Saturday with a 3-2 win in Las Vegas.

Pochettino insisted the Blues will be ready for the start of the Premier League campaign, despite the club still looking to add reinforcements during the transfer window.

The manager made special note of the void left by injured 22-year-old center back Wesley Fofana, who underwent reconstructive surgery on his anterior cruciate ligament two weeks ago.

Chelsea's Premier League season opens on 13 August against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.
