Episode 1 Map 7 of Base Ganymede has plenty of monsters coming at you in large groups, including the ending with a Spider Mastermind and a horde of Barons of Hell! Rockets and plasma will be your best friend here, and the exit kills you at the end anyway so you won't be needing them for the next level.
