I’m going to tell you how your brand isn’t just about your color, logo, emotion, or the feelings you instill. Well, those things are important, but the power of your brand is the embodiment of who you are as a person.

In fact, a brand encompasses everything; who you are, what you do, and why you do what you do. To build a successful brand, you need to have a comprehensive understanding of yourself; what you like and what you don’t like that embodies who you are.

If you’ve previously had a bad experience where someone’s tried to put you down, you need to learn from that and, instead, promote and market yourself harder. Everything else, like the colors and emotions, are simply a by-product of your brand.

Remember, people do business with people; they close deals with you and communicate with you. Don’t try to be anything more than who you are by fabricating or faking an identity. If people are interested in you, that’s all because of you. It’s important to be who you are and that’s exactly what real branding is.
