Come join Rabbi Barclay and the TNS community for a special evening of study in our monthly Talmud & Tobacco session. The topic will be:
"Magic in Judaism: Witchcraft, Sorcery, and Card Tricks"
In what promises to be a really fun evening, we will learn and discuss Judaism's position and teachings about sorcery and magic. What do our Sages teach about the realities of witchcraft; the obligations of a sorcerer; and how magic is to be used? Is it real, and what are the Jewish injunctions about performing sorcery?
This is a really special passion for Rabbi Barclay as he has been a performing member of the World Famous Magic Castle for over 30 years. The evening promises to be enlightening and lively, filled with fun and startling information about the traditional understanding of "witchcraft".
Like all programming at Temple Ner Simcha, this class is free of charge; and is open to all adults: men and women, and people of all knowledge and experience levels.
