Top down crochet vest - using a dc foundation stitch to make front neck edge & join left/right sides

Here's how to use the dc (uk trc) foundation stitch to make the front neck edge and at the same time join the right and left sides of a top down, crochet vest top.
The pattern is the Machair Tanks, which I desgined for the Journal of Scottish Yarns, Issue 3.
