Lonnie David Franklin Jr., better known as the "Grim Sleeper," was a serial killer responsible for at least ten murders and one attempted murder in Los Angeles, California between 1985 and 2007. He was also convicted for rape and sexual violence.

On March 28, 2020, Franklin was found dead in his cell at San Quentin while on death row. There were no signs of trauma.
