Issue 1 brings more to the polls for August election than anticipated

The Aug. 8 Special Election is fast approaching and the only thing voters will see on the ballot is Issue 1. Although it's a special election and voter turnout was expected to be low, more people than anticipated have shown up to the polls to cast their ballot on the single-issue election.
