Why Adam Aron doesn’t sell the 4 Billion APE shares AMC has to pay of debt? Why AMC reverse split?

I don’t believe AMC is at risk of bankruptcy but if we accept that narrative Adam Aron said they have billions of APE shares available to sell why don’t they sell them to raise cash? Why do they need to reverse split AMC? The need to make 90% of counterfeit AMC shares to disappear for free
