Charles Darwin's thinking legitimised and can be tied directly to that of Marquis De Sade. Maybe there's a little bit of Islam in there too. Or a lot. Let's see where we end up.
In this preview talk, we delve into the controversial relationship between atheism, Darwinism, eugenics and the Third Reich. Join us as we explore the impact of Darwinism on German society from 1859 to 1939, specifically in relation to the devaluation of human life. We will discuss how prominent German Darwinists advocated for a re-evaluation of biomedical ethics, including topics such as infanticide, euthanasia, suicide, and abortion. Through examining Hitler's ideology and his views as a Social Darwinist, we aim to shed light on the roots of German imperialism and World War I.
