Westfall’s Flamethrower

Thursday morning, just after 6 a.m., Wyatt Westfall lit a homemade flamethrower with a pipe and the gas from his residence.

When it was immediately called into police, he jumped out the window of the upper floor and onto a tree, where he again created a flame with the device.

Westfall then lunged at a police officer with a knife he had.

At that time, he retreated back into his building and barricaded himself inside.

When communication stalled between Westfall and the Wood County SWAT Team, police entered the residence.

Westfall again lunged at a police officer with his knife.

At that point, SWAT subdued and arrested him.

The whole ordeal took around two hours and forty-five minutes, as people recorded the event.
