How to Polish Platinum

Platinum is very hard wearing which is a great quality for a long lasting piece of jewellery however it means that going from a hammered and filed piece of metal to a completely smooth and highly reflective polished piece of metal takes a great deal of work.
The grease mop that we use to remove scratches is the most important thing here I believe. With out doing a thorough job you will never achieve that glass like smooth reflective finish. I always keep a 10x loop at the polishing motor for checking the pieces i'm working on.
