A Story About Our Resilience: Timbuctoo, New Jersey

The one thing this system does not want us to remember is how our people were able to be resilient within a system that was against them. With just the scraps they left us, we were able to build businesses, schools, banks, towns, villages, world-renowned dishes, sought after fashion, create our own music genres and more.

The town of Timbuctoo, NJ is one of about 20 examples of the resilience of our people that still stands to this day. May we never forget their stories.
