1910 Stanley Steamer Ride

This is the documentation of our ride in a 1910 Stanley Steamer on Saturday, August 5, 2023, during Community Days in Mechanic Falls. This is where, as I understand it, the first two prototype steam engines were bjuilt for the Stanley Steamer at the J. W. Penney (& Son(s)) Machine Shop. Rides were available for a donation to the Stanley Museum in Kingfield, Maine.
Our friend, Peter MacDonald, road in the front passenger (left side) seat while we occupied the rear seat. (Peter offered to ride in back, but he was there before us.) It was a wonderful opportunity to ride in such an historic vehicle that has an historic tie to our home town.
