Funeral or Birthday?

 It is better to go to the house of mourning than to go to the house of feasting, —
Ecclesiastes 7:2

Today’s Scripture:
Ecclesiastes 7:1-4

If you visit some of the old New England churches, you’ll notice that many of them have a cemetery in the churchyard. The windows in the sanctuary are filled with clear rather than stained glass so that the pastor would see the graveyard as he preached. As he communicated his message to the congregation, a very serious message was being communicated to him.
Two hundred fifty years ago, Christians believed that the central mission of the church was to bring men and women into a right relationship with God. That’s why they constructed their church buildings with see-through windows. They wanted their pastors to be continually re-minded of the seriousness of their calling. Everyone who sat in the pews before them each Sunday would eventually fill a place in the cemetery and ultimately stand before God to be judged.
Now we come to the year 2023 where many of us have discovered that Churches are an act of fraud and disobedience.  We were taught from our youth that you are to worship on a Sunday and not a 7th Day Sabbath.  We were taught that all food had been made clean when in fact foods like pig, lobster, and shrimp aren’t even what Leviticus 11 calls Food.  We were told that we could ask “Jesus” into our hearts and we could simply ask forgiveness anytime we had sinned and “Jesus” would forgive us.  But again as we read Scripture, Scripture tells us that we need to obey the laws of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (God).  That we need to fall on our knees in fear and trembling because we are wretched men with dark hearts.  We were even told that the laws of our Creator don’t matter anymore because our Messiah “Jesus” came and took all the laws away.  Every single bit of that are words out of Satans mouth and not what 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 has taught us in Scriptures.
So regardless of the clear windows and the preachers Bible thumping away, if we aren’t aligned with the Torah and our Messiah there is no Kingdom for us.  The teacher of Ecclesiastes also lived with the reality of death. He argued that it is better to go to a funeral than to a birthday party, because when we think about death we deal with the bedrock issues of our lives.
Only those who’ve trusted in 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄, His Torah, and His Son for eternal life can live well—because they’re prepared to die.

Considering mortality
Gives life the proper view;
Preparing for eternity
Is the wisest thing to do.
