The difference between the day of the LORD and the day of Christ is simple. The day of the LORD is a day the bible describes as notable, destructive, full of sorrow and pangs as a woman in travail, darkness, cruel, fierce, gloominess, a day of vengeance, a cloudy day, and the day of the heathen. In contrast, the day of the Lord Jesus Christ is a day of rejoicing, a day of hope and salvation, where we will be found blameless and without offense. This is a Christian’s blessed hope (Titus 2:13) whereas anyone that desires the day of the LORD, WOE UNTO YOU (Amos 5:18).
Be sure that you have the Authorized King James Bible and not some other perversion that does not stay consistent with the day of the LORD and the day of Christ but uses them interchangeably. It is our hope and prayer that the Lord will use this study to bring clarity to you on this subject.
