The American dream of owning your own home is getting harder for may people to achieve. Some of the reasons for this growing problem is because of the dramatic increase in housing prices compared to worker salaries. Another contributing factor is the increased amount of student debt.

Another issue is the increasing number of people losing their homes due to the increased property taxes due to increased property values. This is especially hard for elderly and those on a fixed income.
