The Mystery of the Crooked House

The Crooked House, a beloved pub in the West Midlands, was destroyed by fire in 2023. Saved from sinking by the Wolverhampton and Dudley Brewery in 1940, its brick facade included a tribute to Banks's beer. Sinking due to coal shafts underneath, this Black Country landmark was destroyed after being purchased by an unknown buyer for "alternative uses". While waiting for its spot on the historic landmarks list, the pub burned down in August 2023.
