Republicans can’t even impeach the Biden stooge at the head of DHS. What hope do we have to dismantle the permanent bureaucratic state if our representatives can’t even take meaningful action on a simple matter such as this?

My thought is that our representatives don’t want to actually solve these problems, just gain clout by “appearing” to take action. It’s an ugly and bleak perspective but I don’t see a credible alternative.
