Drainage of a Ganglion Cyst

Ganglion cysts can be quite painful when they start compressing other structures. Surgeons used to be quicker to remove these but recurrence rates were high and many in my area don't offer this procedure anymore. If you simply drain them, the recurrence rates are very high. However, if you infuse steroid after draining them they tend to shrink and often times quite significantly.
