The original version of "My Lover" felt like 10% of a finished ending theme, and I wanted to greatly flesh it out without over-extending its allure and welcome. This meant beefing up the section with a twofold approach:

1) To stress the importance of the "good ending," and the saving of Naoko from certain death at the hands of Zeed's trap.

2) To create a much more compelling, rousing and triumphant ending theme that takes into account everything Joe Musashi went through during the game.

You, listener, will decide if I hit that mark or not. For now, I'm very proud of what I've done with the soundtrack for "The Revenge of Shinobi," and I'm very happy you have all joined me for the journey. Big news to come as I move onto a brand new soundtrack, so stay tuned!
