Complete Removal of a Dystrophic nail

This patient had an irregular growing nail for years that would intermittently cause him pain. He had portions of it removed and even the entire nail taken off but it had always regrown in an unhealthy fashion. It was therefore decided to take the nail off and chemically ablate the nail matrix using phenol. This procedure went well, without any specific complications.
