Illegal migrant crossing to Europe via Mediterranean sea 'more than doubles - BBC NEWS

The number of people who have crossed illegally into the European Union (EU) so far this year has risen by 13% according to new EU border agency figure

It is 13% higher than the same period, between January and July, in 2022

The agency said the increased was Entirely driven by the number of people who arrived after travelling across the Mediterranean , which more than doubled.
