Has the Beaker been nerfed? First Steps into A21 - 7 Days to Die - A21 edited gameplay - Ep4

or has it always been this pointless? It seems that it's only use is to make top tier anti-biotics in the camp fire, but you can do these in the chemistry station, which you will most likely have by the time you are able to make them. Is there any point in getting it early game, or did I just waste 1500 dukes?

I am starting out easy with default settings on the Pregen 6K map, but I will probably turn them up as I settle in to the game.

Difficulty: Nomad
Drop on Death: Backpack Only
All other settings are default.
