Yasir Qadhi in 2019 reveals an obvious truth that Islam has spread not through the work of Dawahists causing mass conversion by the persuasiveness of their arguments, but instead largely due to the sword. Islam spread by the sword. In today's world, Islam has not reached its apogee because it no longer has the military capibility to wage further wars of conquest. Instead, in frustration it has resorted from time to time to asymetric warfare through the use of terrorism, but these outbursts are usually stomped out quickly by overwhelming western might to its leaders chagrin.
