Team Bloober Does Not Understand Silent Hill 2. Why This will Fail
I had lots of hope for the Silent Hill 2 Remake...until I found out WHO was the developer...Team Bloober. WHY would Konami choose them over a Japanese studio is beyond me. All Western Silent Hill games failed, yet they gave it to Bloober, sure they aren't American but they do not have the same depth as the deeply psychological attention that Japanese studios have.
I mean in the OG Silent Hill 2, the game was scary aware of you: It payed attention to what YOU paid attention to, like if you looked at Maria's cleavage a bit too often or too long, that impacted your connection to your wife Mary.

But the moment I knew Team Bloober had no idea what Silent Hill 2 or Silent Hill in general was, was the scene in my Thumbnail. This is the set up of the game going forward & they messed it up completely. James does NOT simply touch his face with a sorrowful expression. He gets INTO CHARACTER, he is lying to himself, he is acting.
Don't get me started on Pyramid Head being "Problematic" I screenshotted the original Screen Rant article where they talked about the changes they were making. The updated page omits all that BS & it is pure BS.
Team Bloober should NEVER have been given this chance because with Konami's deep hatred for the game, they will bury it. I hope I am wrong, but I live in Silent Hill, I hear the sirens every day.
