Abandoning Sodom | Genesis 19:12-22

Lot shows his own reputation, character, reasoning, and sense of safety to be corrupted by his surroundings, living in a city which inundated him with humanistic worldview and lifestyle.
Rather than learning to trust God, even despite evidence of God's trustworthiness, he puts his faith in the systems of the world.
Ultimately Lot is saved, but his life is not remembered as one of a victorious and mature "hero of the faith".
