Before You Conclude!

[Transitional Times Poem Collection] -
As we begin to realise how much of the information we were ‘told’ was true, was actually ‘not true’, it leads us to be more ‘prudent’ in our questioning and research. We can no longer assume we are being ‘given’ the truth, so checking out information or bias and using our discernment and ‘inner knowing’ is an essential.

This creation falls into my 'Transitional Times' poem category which contains 'a variety of Motivational and Commentary poems exploring issues of the time'.

Poem Wording:-

Before You Conclude!

Write it off ….. “It’s
just another ‘conspiracy’”.
Put off any research … “The
idea doesn’t ‘gel’ with me”.
Scratch the surface … “Sure
the internet’s labelled if ‘fallacy’”!

Agh ….. it must be so?!
If people say it?
Sure the internet’d know!!?

Great stuff A.I. off you go!!
Hook, line and sinker …. snared.
No more free thinker?!

Oh dear, did that touch a sore point?
Or hit on a sensitive nerve?
Was it an inner ‘ego’ sparked?
Or a touch of ‘inner being’s’
‘intuitive doubt’, being aired?

Oh, the dichotomy!
You expect a lot of me?
Not at all … just that you ‘look in’,
Acknowledge any existing ‘inner know’
The uncomfortable ‘feel’.

That’s where any and all
of us need to be or go.
Re-visit an issue that’s in question.
Re-search what you take as true.
Look, seek, find ….
Perhaps expand your own view.

Do it for yourself and don’t
Just scratch the surface.
Dig deep …. Go delve.
You can choose to be circumspect,
But inform first and then
go on to protect yourself.

So. Before you conclude ….
Check out the bias and lies
Which many, confidently exude.

Seek answers for yourself.
That is not being rude.
Just being prudent.
Be your own steward and student.
Use your sovereign being.
Not just someone else’s
views or their attitude.

Oh, and as a safeguard companion
on the journey … take along gratitude!
