Complete Church Service for Sunday, June 25, 2023. Human beings have a tendency to form expectations of almost everything and everyone in life. These expectations can trip us up when it comes to our spirituality. In particular, we can form unbiblical expectations of God and then try to squeeze God in the box that we have prepared for Him. No less a biblical luminary than John the Baptist had issues with the set of expectations that he had formed about the Messiah and His mission on earth. When Jesus did not fit into John's self-conceived model, then confusion ensued. In this message we see how Jesus dealt with this issue and indicated that the problem was not with Him but the one who did not fully understand God's plan.
