NASA Cargo Ship Loaded with Science Experiments and Snacks Arrives at ISS**

A NASA cargo ship loaded with science experiments and snacks arrived at the International Space Station on August 15, 2023. The Cygnus spacecraft, which was launched from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia on August 13, carried more than 8,300 pounds of cargo to the space station.

The cargo includes a variety of science experiments, including research on plant growth in microgravity, the effects of space radiation on human cells, and the development of new materials that could be used in future spacecraft. The cargo also includes a shipment of snacks for the space station crew, including fresh fruits, vegetables, and desserts.

The Cygnus spacecraft was captured by the space station's robotic arm and docked to the Unity module on August 15. The space station crew will now unload the cargo and begin conducting the science experiments.

This is the 17th contracted resupply mission to the space station under the second Commercial Resupply Services contract with NASA. Northrop Grumman has successfully delivered more than 80,000 pounds of cargo to the space station under this contract.
