We are on the ninth anniversary of the deadly cross-county crime spree that killed two Northern California deputies. Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputy Danny Oliver and Placer County Sheriff's Detective Michael Davis. were killed by Luis Bracamontes, who was in the country illegally after being deported twice to Mexico.

Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputy Scott Brown survived the battle and has written a book called Facing Evil: A Cop's Story of Murder, Mayhem, and the Aftermath."
Deputy Brown was on patrol with Oliver the day he was shot and killed by Bracamotes, and Brown encouraged donations to www.DannyOliverFoundation.org.
