Chief in the neuro ethics study program at the peligreno center for clinic bio ethics, and co- director of the O'neill peligreno program and brain science and global health law and policy at Georgetown University medical center.

He currently serves an appointed member of the United states department of health and human services secratary advisory council on human research protections. He's a researcher and task leader for the European Union Brain Project and has served as an appointed member of the nuroethics legal and social issues advisory panel of the Defence Advanced Reserch Project Agency - DARPA
