PEI shows strong support for Poilievre, Gun owners

“He wants our guns!” one attendee shouted. He was responding to Pierre Poilievre as he explained the disastrous effects of the NDP-Liberal agreement to legalize crack, heroin, and other hard drugs, while at the same time, releasing violent repeat offenders onto Canadian streets.

"Since Trudeau brought in his gun ban, there's been a 100% increase in shooting crime. Shows you how well it's working,” Poilievre said. “He simultaneously reduced sentences for bank robbers and other criminals.”

First, he said, “a Poilievre-lead government will get rid of the catch and release system and bring in jail, not bail, for repeat violent offenders.”

Second, his government will stand up for law-abiding firearms owners, repealing legislation that attacks farmers, hunters, and licensed sport shooters. Instead, he will put the estimated $5 Billion in taxpayer funds into reinforcing the Canadian border, to keep illegal guns out, while putting repeat gun criminals in jail.
