Residents of the small rural district of Alto Nanay in Peru are distressed as they claim to be under attack by seven-foot-tall translucent green aliens. The Ikitu indigenous people who inhabit the region report that the aliens have been terrorizing the town since July 11 and are launching nightly assaults on residents.
The locals referred to their assailants as 'green goblins' and associated them with Peruvian superstitions about 'los Pelacaras' (meaning 'the Face Peelers'). However, Peruvian law enforcement has now identified a new suspect.
According to reports, criminal organizations involved in illegal gold mining are responsible for the problem. These groups are affiliated with notorious drug cartels such as Brazil's 'O Primeiro Comando da Capital,' Colombia's 'Clan del Golfo,' FARC, and others that have inflicted significant harm on Latin America over the years.
