Las Vegas police: One dead, three injured in west Las Vegas, suspect in custody

LVMPD held an evening press briefing and provided additional details on the incident. Lt. Jason Johansson explained that officers found four victims at the scene—three shot and one stabbed.

Three of the victims were taken to UMC and one died at the hospital, leading the Homicide Team to take over the investigation. Police said there was reportedly a dispute between that victim and her “estranged ex-husband.”

The suspect allegedly made entry into the residence, shot at some of his family members, and left the scene. He then drove back to his home near Spring Mountain and Torrey Pines. Officers went there, but the suspect had left by the time they arrived.

Shortly after that, the suspect turned himself in. Police said he had lacerations on his back.
