Students Are Left In Awe From Rock Slide In Geiranger
A spectacular video went viral on the Internet showing a rock slide on the flanks of the Geiranger Fjord in Norway taken by a couple of students. The Geiranger Fjord is a fjord in the Sunnmøre region of Møre of Romsdal county, Norway. It is located entirely in the Stranda Municipality. It is a 15-kilometers long branch of the Sunnylvsfjorden, which is a branch of the Storfjorden (Great Fjord). The small village of Geiranger is located at the end of the fjord where the Geiranger river empties into it.
Info from Licensor: "My school went on a Mountain trip when suddenly we heard loud noises. We SAW big blocks of rocks falling into the Fjord and were amazed by it!" This video was shot on May 8, 2017, Geiranger fjord, Norway. The view of the stumbling rocks looks so amazing and terrifying at the same time.
The occasion was enrolled on the national seismic monitoring system crosswise over Norway, recommending that the volume was not inconsequential, and there are amazing and exciting elements to this rock slide. This is not unusual to happen especially after winter when the ice melts.
Note the sprinkles a sign in front of the principle avalanche dust cloud, which denotes the effect on the water of individual squares. Just a little extent of the squares travel this far; however, they are a fantastic delineation of the finish of the portability appropriation. How amazing is that!
The Geiranger is a fantastic landscape, a fairytale with snowy mountains and lush green vegetation. It’s the most outstanding area in the world and a must see place! The Geirangerfjord is a location protected by UNESCO, and it has the most impressive waterfalls. Also, is one of the most famous fjords in the world.
If you are a lover of nature then, this location is perfect for your next trip. There are also a lot of activities that you can do here, like mountain climbing, try rafting or enjoy sightseeing and even canyoning. There are also a lot of fabulous restaurants, cafes, and places where you can hang out and enjoy the view.
The Geirangerfjord is 853 feet (260 meters) deep, and the mountains that surround the fjord are 5577 feet (1700 meters) high. The fjord is also known for the majestic waterfalls and the abandoned fjord farms that are time tellers and representation of a different time.
