He did EVERYTHING humanly possible to STOP the illegal logging of the Corcovado National Park. Woody bought a huge property on the edge of this wilderness on the Osa Peninsula, years ago.
when the CR Prez/Gangster Figueres sold logging rights to a foreign govt, Woody even shut down the San Francisco Bridge in Cali USA with a Protest March to get attention to the crisis.
when the CR Prez came under global criticism he INSULTED all Ticos' intelligence by saying on National TV : " I did not sell the National Park, I only sold the trees in it. " I saw this myself on tv in CR !!!
SO ... the logging of the National Park continued until Figueres left office. now he is running for CR Prez again, even tho he was on trial for MURDER and fled an arrest warrant after his term as President. he ran away to be near his Swiss Bank Account, sat out the CR statute of limitations in Switzerland, then came back to CR to get back into politics. HOW EMBARRASSING THAT TICOS ARE AGAIN SUPPORTING THAT DEVIL FIGUERES. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR..........
