The Economics that Create a People vs Trade-Offs
Libertarian Counterpoint 1663 6/15/23
In this episode of Libertarian Counterpoint, we discuss the state of California and why it is in decline. We look at some of the factors that are driving people out of the Golden State, such as high taxes, regulations, housing costs, crime, homelessness, and poor governance. We compare California to Florida, a state that has lower taxes, less regulations, more freedom, and better economic performance. We also examine how Governor Gavin Newsom has admitted that California is failing and what he plans to do about it.
We also pay tribute to Daniel Ellsberg, the whistleblower who leaked the Pentagon Papers and exposed the lies and crimes of the Vietnam War. We talk about his legacy and his impact on the anti-war movement and the freedom of the press
