0992 Mk.13.24-37 The Old Replaced with the New Pt.4

Jesus is enthroned as the "son of David" and with that authority judges Jerusalem and abolishes the temple and it's sacrificial system. The focus of attention now is not Israel's national shrine, but the Son of Man. Being enthroned as king, having received the everlasting kingdom, He gathers His church from all over world and commands His disciples to be about His business so that when He comes, they will not be found unprepared, but diligently serving and faithfully carrying out the mission of spreading His teachings and love to all corners of the earth. This includes sharing the good news of salvation, practicing compassion and forgiveness, and living in accordance with the values of the Kingdom of God.
