If you love Gradius, Twin Bee, Salamander or Lifeforce, you'll love Parodius Da! This game combines elements of all those classic Konami shooters into one mixed-up mash-up of a shooter, and it works so well! It has great music, amazing controls, and it's just fun. Thanks to our buddy Trip for helping us find our copy at the 2018 Portland Retro Gaming Expo!

I remember watching John Riggs talking about this game so lovingly in a Metal Jesus Rocks video that I had to get to know the man and get to play the game. I now have done both, and I dare say my friendship with John is better than the game, and I love Wai Wai World 2! You get to play as Upa, Simon Belmont II, Goemon, and other amazing Konami Characters. This was never released outside of Japan, and neither was Parodius Da! on the NES. But our last game WAS released on the NES, and that is very expensive.

Bonk's Adventure (FC Genjin)

Compared to almost $1000 for the NES Version, I'll happily pay $35 for the Japanese Famicom version of Bonk's Adventure, or FC Genjin. Almost identical to the TurboGrafx 16 version gameplay-wise, this late entry into the library sounds, looks, and plays so well. Combining that with the inexpensive price makes this a no-brainer!
