Snap Swivel vs Loop Knot

To snap or not to snap? 🤨
A regular question I get asked is whether or not I use a loop knot (like a perfection loop) or snap swivel to attach lures to my fishing line..

I ALWAYS use a loop knot to attach my lures simply because BIG BARRA and BIG FISH bite down HARD! I’ve seen too many fish get away from an opened snap swivel! 💔

Snap swivels can also affect a lures action/movement… It’s just not worth it!

And, if you practice a little, it won’t take much longer to tie a perfection loop rather than fiddling around with a snap.
