46 school districts are authorized to have armed staff in Ohio

There are 46 Ohio school districts authorized to arm teachers and staff members, according to numbers provided by the state earlier this month. Five of those districts are local. Local districts authorized by the state include Adams County Christian School, Eastern Local Schools District in Brown County, Southern Ohio Educational Service Center, Williamsburg Local School District and Bright Local. It’s been just over a year since Gov. Mike DeWine signed House Bill 99, which reduced training requirements for staff members to carry firearms on campus.
